The long-awaited replacement of the dangerously narrow Parker Bridge may be close at hand. Governor Richardson and Department of Transportation Secretary Rhonda Faught have proposed a major local roads program to the NM State Legislature for the upcoming 2007 Legislative Session. If this program passes, Parker Bridge is listed as a priority for Lincoln County projects and could see reconstruction as early as winter of 2007. Please contact your local legislators below to express your support for this critically needed project in Ruidoso Downs and for the GRIP 2 Proposed Capital Outlay Program proposed by the Governor.
